By Default DNS leak protection is turned on. To Toggle DNS leak protection off/on follow these steps.

  1. Open the Preferences window
  2. Highlight the connection you want to modify
  3. Click the Gear button. It is next to the Edit button at the bottom of the preferences window
  4. Duplicate the connection
  5. Click Edit
  6. Open the Networking Tab
  7. In the DNS Section change the mode from Automatic for disabled to Full to enable leak protection
  8. Click Save and Connect
