Sometimes our private DNS servers may cause problems when a VPN does not get disconnected properly. This can happen without your knowledge (Upstream network issues). A simple way to tell if this is the issue is to see if your IP client or other internet connected applications work. If they do but you cannot browse websites then you will want to check your DNS settings.
