In this guide we will be covering the set up of a PPTP VPN or L2TP VPN in Windows XP (Windows 7/8 are very similiar with just a few minor changes). By following this guide you should have no problem connecting to a either VPNs on Windows Xp, Windows 7, Windows 8.
1. Click Start and go to Control Panel.
2. Click Network Connections
3. On the left sidebar, you want to click Create a new connection

7. Windows xp users go ahead and click properties. Windows 7 and 8 you will have to Right Click the network connection itself and go to properties.

8. You can select L2TP IPSec VPN or PPTP VPN here (If your using LiquidVPN servers you will have already selected PPTP/L2TP in step 6). Windows 7/8 Please make sure IPV6 is turned off. If you decided earlier to go with a PPTP server you can select the type then go ahead and hit ok, and start your VPN Connection; maybe get wild and make a shortcut to the desktop? AKA Your Done READING.
9. Go to Security ->IPSec Settings on the bottom (Windows 7/8 this is under Advanced settings)

5. Name your VPN Connection.

6. Enter in server information obtained from LiquidVPN Client Area. If your using LiquidVPN PPTP you'll be using a FQDN.(Windows 7 and 8 users do not auto connect; choose to connect at a later time we have more work to do!!)

7. Windows xp users go ahead and click properties. Windows 7 and 8 you will have to Right Click the network connection itself and go to properties.
