In this guide we will be using the built in VPN dialer for a PPTP Connection.

 1.   Click the System Preferences icon.  System Preferences Icon


 
2.   Click 
Network.Network Icon


 3.   Click the + sign.
Network Connections



 4.   Select VPN under interface.
Select VPN


 5.   Set VPN Type to PPTP and name your connection
VPN Type set to PPTP



 6.   Enter in server information for the desired PPTP VPN server, as well as your account name for the vpn. then Click Authentication Settings...

 7.   In the Authentication Tab your going to want to enter in your VPN password.
Select VPN


 8.   Click Ok,  then Click Advanced Verify Send all traffic over VPN connection is checked. If not put a check in the box, Click Ok, Click Apply, Click Connect!
Connect!
